What a mind-blowing edible insects culinary experience at the Great Road Exhibition Festival! Stop by if you are in London. Sunday 18th June 2023, is the last day to have an incredible time and learn fascinating facts.

We tasted delicious treats prepared by Chef Jethro Carr of the Kitchen Academy UK, which challenged people’s perception of what food can be. We can’t wait to see what other culinary wonders he has in store for us in the future.

We listened to the brilliant Imperial College London Senior Fellow Tilly Collins, one of the greatest connoisseurs of the edible insects world. She explained how insects are not a novel food and how in many countries they have been eaten for millennia. She also gave us some fascinating facts. Did you know that edible insects are also considered a valuable nutrition supplement for expectant mothers and also used for weaning babies off milk ?! Her insights into the practice of the consumption of insects as food, shared with knowledge and enthusiasm, is a great help in breaking culinary boundaries and challenge societal norms.
