Returning an Item
If you’re unhappy with your purchase, please let us know by emailing sales@horizoninsects.co.uk

Return policy will vary depending on the type of item purchased:

Live edible insects – We do not accept returns. Due to the highly perishable nature of fresh insects, we ask you to inspect the product on receipt. Fresh insects are delivered by a member of staff who will be happy to wait for you to inspect the item.

Dried edible insects – We accept returns within 7 days of purchase. Items should be returned in their original unopened packaging, in a re-saleable condition, undamaged and unused, and only then will we refund or exchange. Please use a tracked method of delivery or obtain a proof of delivery for returns. We will not accept any liability for items that are lost or damaged in transit to us.

Cricket flour – We accept returns within 7 days of purchase. Items should be returned in their original unopened packaging, in a re-saleable condition, undamaged and unused, and only then will we refund or exchange. Please use a tracked method of delivery or obtain a proof of delivery for returns. We will not accept any liability for items that are lost or damaged in transit to us.

Grow your own mealworms boxes  – We accept returns within 7 days of purchase. Items should be returned in their original unopened packaging, in a re-saleable condition, undamaged and unused, and only then will we refund or exchange. Please use a tracked method of delivery or obtain a proof of delivery for returns. We will not accept any liability for items that are lost or damaged in transit to us.

Frass soil conditioner  – We accept returns within 14 days of purchase. Items should be returned in their original unopened packaging, in a re-saleable condition, undamaged and unused, and only then will we refund or exchange. Please use a tracked method of delivery or obtain a proof of delivery for returns. We will not accept any liability for items that are lost or damaged in transit to us.

Cookery classes and farm visits  –  We can only offer refunds if you cancel at least 14 days in advance. If you cannot attend, however, please let us know and we will do our best to try and fill your space so we can refund/part refund you.

Each complaint is treated individually and we will do whatever we can to make sure the matter is resolved as quickly as possible.
